Helicon West open mic for poets and writers, summer edition! This month, Thursday, July 25, from 7 – 9 PM at Logan Library.

Salt City Slam – last Monday of every month at 8:00 pm at Vertical Diner in Salt Lake City.

Events this Month

Booked on 25th and Ogden Pride are excited to be hosting the 4th Annual Ogden Pride Poetry Contest – Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2 PM – 3 PM at Booked on 25th.

Western Musician Brenn Hill and Cowboy Poet Andy Nelson will perform in concert at 7 p.m. July 16, 2019 at Ogden Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave. in Ogden. Peculiar Journal – Utah-based literary journal for LGBTQ+ writers and artists. Deadline Extended: July 7, 2019.

Provo Poetry POEMBALL Machine – Send in up to 10 short poems to be included in the POEMBALL Machines in Provo and SLC. Open to submissions year round

Utah Life Magazine – The theme for the September/October 2019 issue is “Harvest,” and the deadline hasn’t been posted yet, submit soon!
